Welcome to WordPress.com! This is the very first post, which WordPress kindly started for us, so I thought I’d edit it! They suggest we “use this post to tell readers why you started this blog and what you plan to do with it.”, so here goes!
Our online LaTeX site (www.writelatex.com) has been running since September 2011, and has been becoming more and more popular. In fact, it’s become so popular, we’ve decided to work on it full time to develop the features our users have been asking for and turn it into a world-class product. We also decided it was time we started blogging, to let people know about updates and progress – so here we are!
Lots more to come from the writeLaTeX team in the coming months, and we hope you’ll join us in bringing scientific writing into the online era.
